Cooking Classes at The Essex Kitchen

Get hands-on in the kitchen with cooking classes at The Essex Resort & Spa! Led by professional chefs, each class offers an interactive experience where guests of all skill levels can learn new techniques, explore a variety of cuisines, and prepare a delicious meal from start to finish. Whether you're a beginner looking to build confidence in the kitchen or an experienced home cook interested in trying something new, these classes offer something for everyone.

Most classes run 2.5-3 hours long.

Please arrive to class at least 5 minutes before the start time. All guests are required to wear closed-toe shoes. Aprons and all cooking utensils are provided. Unless otherwise stated, Essex Kitchen cooking classes have a minimum age of 18. Special classes & workshops are offered throughout the year for middle school aged kids & up (12+).

Cancellation Policy

The Essex reserves the right to limit class sizes, revise any or all menus, substitute food items, cancel a class, change class time or location, and/or substitute instructors. If a class is cancelled, The Essex will contact the guests registered and arrange a credit or a refund. In case of inclement weather it is the responsibility of the guest to call for information regarding outdoor classes. Full refunds will be granted if cancellation is received 3 days or more prior to the cooking class or event. Exceptions may be made in cases of illness or flight delays. All cancellations must be made by phone: 802-878-1100. They will not accept email cancellation.
