Curator Welcomes Three New Properties to its Growing Collection of Independent Hotels and Resorts
Oct 30, 2025
Bethesda, Maryland (October 30, 2025) — Curator Hotel & Resort Collection (“Curator”), a collection of boutique and lifestyle independent hotels and resorts, proudly announces the addition of three new members to its expanding portfolio. With these latest additions, Curator continues to celebrate the individuality and creativity of one-of-a-kind properties that offer travelers immersive and authentic experiences across the country.
With more than 100 hotels, resorts, and experiences in the collection, Curator helps independent owners and operators stay competitive while preserving what makes each property unique. Through vendor partnerships, negotiated service agreements, marketing opportunities, and shared industry expertise, members benefit from the resources and value creation of a larger network, without sacrificing their independence.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these exceptional hotels into the Curator family,” said Jennifer Barnwell, President of Curator Hotel & Resort Collection. “These members take us into new cities in markets across California and Colorado. Each of these properties captures what Curator is all about: independent spirit, thoughtful design, and a strong sense of community.”
The newest members joining Curator Hotel & Resort Collection are:
Garden of the Gods Resort and Club (Colorado Springs, Colorado): Set against the red rock formations of Garden of the Gods Park with panoramic views of Pikes Peak, this iconic Colorado Springs resort combines natural wonder with refined luxury. The property features elegant guest rooms, suites, and residential-style cottages and casitas, a championship golf course, and the world-class Strata Integrated Wellness Spa and Center. Guests can enjoy fitness, wellness, and recreation options, along with diverse dining experiences highlighting the flavors of the region.
The National Exchange Hotel (Nevada City, California): Originally built in 1856 and beautifully restored, the National Exchange Hotel stands as one of California’s oldest continuously operating hotels. Located in the heart of historic downtown Nevada City, the hotel’s 38 uniquely designed rooms blend Victorian elegance with contemporary comfort. Guests can dine at Lola, enjoy craft cocktails at the National Bar, and experience the building’s artful interiors and heritage charm—an ode to the Gold Rush era.
The Holbrooke Hotel (Grass Valley, California): A beloved sister property to The National Exchange, the Holbrooke Hotel is a California Historical Landmark that first opened its doors in 1862. Following a full restoration, the property now offers 28 individually styled rooms that celebrate its storied past with modern flair. The legendary Golden Gate Saloon, one of the oldest bars west of the Mississippi, continues to anchor the hotel, an inviting space where locals and travelers gather over great food, drinks, and conversation in the lively heart of downtown Grass Valley.
